Assessing the Wikipedia

The British science magazine Nature published a comparison of Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Britannica based on the number of errors in selected articles in each. For more on Wikipedia assessment see these links.

  1. Wikipedia is as accurate as Encyclopaedia Britannica and both have some errors on different subjects. Just like if someone gets a second opinion from a doctor regarding their medical illnesses. The bottom line is that whatever you research on using Wikipedia or Encyclopaedia Britannica are good tools for information, but researchers should check other sources.
