VOIP in US and Europe

We cover voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP). VOIP is widely used for phone systems within organizations, and is taking off in the consumer market. A recent market research report compares VOIP growth in the United States with that in Europe. Note that growth is faster in Europe and that independent companies like Vonage are growing more slowly than the VOIP offerings of cable companies in the US. Unlike their US counterparts, European telephone companies are active participants in the VOIP market.

VoIP has grown tremendously over the past few years. Many companies are moving from their current analog phones, and are now using VoIP phones. With this in place, people no longer need a physical phone at their office or at home. People can now use soft phones that work exactly the same way as their current phones using their computer from anywhere around the world. Technology is growing tremendously, and by the look of it Europe has adopted a better infrastructure than the U.S. Not to mention that Europe has a better economy than the U.S. for these reasons U.S. companies do not want to invest in new technology compared to Europe companies.
